About the Role:

In this role you will be responsible for the delivery of reliable software to our customers. This will be done through creating and maintaining automated tests, determining the root cause of issues, communicating issues and solutions, and gaining a thorough understanding of our products.

What would I be doing?

· Work within the software team to drive resolution of field issues:

o Determining initial root cause by analyzing logs, and communicating with engineers, and product support.

o Develop, build, and run tests to reproduce issues, and validate solutions

o Work with product support to communicate field fixes

· Work within the software team to perform regression and new feature testing.

·理解communication protocols between hardware devices in order to configure systems, and root cause issues (CAN, RS232, ethernet)

· Based on technical analysis, recreate needed product configurations in a lab environment to test new and existing products.

· Analyze complex log data, identify trends and summarize findings.

· Develop and maintain automated testing suite for execution, result collection, and result analysis.

What must I have?

· Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software integration issues such as communication issues, wiring issues, and electronic failures.

· Ability to read schematics, create wiring harnesses and debug hardware using oscilloscopes and similar tools.

· Desire to learn about Precision Planting products and their applications, and apply this knowledge to product testing and validation.

· Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent experience.

· Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

What other specific skills & experiences would be good for me to have?

· Knowledge in embedded data protocols such as CAN, RS232, I2C, SPI

· Demonstrate an ability to understand, write, debug, and update embedded software (C/C++)

· Experience with tools for automated testing

· Familiarity with task/feature tracking systems

· Understanding of revision control software (GIT)
