AWS DevOps Engineer

Precision Planting (Tremont IL), a subsidiary of AGCO (Atlanta GA), is currently looking for senior & associate level AWS DevOps Engineers. Precision Planting is an innovation leader in ag science, new ideas and new technologies that help growers achieve the best economic wins in the agriculture space. The products we create change the world, by perfecting seed injection and yield outcomes.

About the Position

The nature of this work is to support internal and external tools built on AWS. This position will require an applicant to have general familiarity and experience developing, deploying and managing AWS cloud architecture.

Proficiency with scripting languages such as NodeJS/Javascript, Python, Bash/shell and Ruby is required for this position. Skills with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes are preferred.

This is a full-time position, with the expectation that the candidate will work on site, out of the Bloomington IL studio, or Tremont IL facility. Employees expected to travel occasionally between different facility locations: Tremont IL, Pontiac IL, Bloomington IL.

Technical Proficiencies

Applicants shall be required to have proficiencies and experience in:

• AWS Architecture
• IAM, EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, CloudFormation, etc.
• AWS Control Tower experience
• Advanced CLI/Linux
• Prior experience with Linux Server Management
• General Knowledge of networking concepts
• Knowledge of CI/CD including git, gitlab ci, etc.

Additional Experience

Additional experience and proficiencies in these technologies will further improve candidate
consideration:

• AWS Certifications (CCP, CSAA, etc.)
• Experience working in/with various development teams
• 2+ years of AWS experience
• Experience developing and working with CI/CD Pipelines
• LAMP / PHP
• Experience supporting serverless architecture
• Being an intuitive problem solver/contributor to solution architecture
• Docker, Balena, SOTI, remote management software experience
