CNC Operator

Job Summary

In this critical position, the CNC Operator will be involved with projects that have a significant impact on providing quality products to our customers.

Job Responsibilities

• Setup and operate CNC mills to create complex parts on 3, 4, and 5 axis machining centers
• Develop work-holding and select cutting tools
• Once a part or tool has been manufactured, CNC Machinists must inspect the completed item to ensure that it meets all specifications.
• Reading and understand, blueprints and other technical documentation
• Ability to use mics, calipers, and other measurement tools
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment

Safety Responsibilities

Employees are responsible for individual compliance with all safety rules, policies and procedures. Associate responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Comply with all safety rules, policies and procedures.
• Report any unsafe practices and/or conditions to their supervisor.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and report any defective PPE.
• Report all near-misses, incidents, injuries, illnesses, including mobile equipment or property damage.
• Participation in the site Safety and Health Program.

Essential skills

Education

High School Diploma.

Qualifications and Experience

• Basic math skills
• Must have excellent communications skills (written & verbal)
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Experience with Sienna
• AutoCad helpful, but not required.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct reports.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works with or near to moving trucks, trailers, fork trucks, and near large machinery and equipment daily. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee is exposed to a variety of extreme conditions including temperatures ranging from 40°F to 105°F.

No travel is expected for this position.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

3 to 5 years’ experience as a CNC Operator/Machinist is strongly preferred

Ability with some CNC Programming is a plus
