Technical Service Specialist Job

Job Summary

爱科有两个vacancies for Technical Service Specialists responsible for the Fendt product group. This position would be the technical expert in the field on AGCO products and would be responsible to provide technical support and training to distribution on maintenance, repair and operation of equipment. The encumbent would serve as customer contact on technical and service-related problems and work with the distribution/dealer network within a dedicated region on the full range of technical concerns, installations and customer relations. The encumbent at this level is fully competent on the skills and knowledge of the products being serviced and/or the testing and calibration equipment being used. In addition this position would train and mentor distribution technicians. The position will be tasked with small to moderate projects at customer sites. This position will be based on territory.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate all field campaigns / repair programmes on designated products ensuring that:
  • Completion rates are achieved in line with company objectives
  • Campaign / repair program data is managed through the warranty system
• Working with Technical training teams, Author specialist technical training documentation and manage the training on specialist subjects
• Provide training to Dealers on designated products and processes at both AGCO and dealer locations
• Author local service bulletins/information providing additional technical information to dealers to suit AGCO Africa requirements, for central service team One AGCO upload
• Attend training and service review meetings at designated Africa events and source factories
• Collate, present and follow up the areas top 5 product issues at Africa service review meetings
• Provide technical and operation support to wholegoods teams, in field events, demonstrations and product matching
• Working with Aftersales Business manager, build joint distribution programs to increase parts sales

Minimum Qualifications

• In depth technical knowledge of agricultural equipment or equivalent
• Understanding of the South African Agricultural market
• Technical Degree or equivalent
• 6-8 years of experience in a similar role
• Interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in english in a must, afrikaans proficiency would be an added advantage
