SUMMARY

Summary of Duties:

  • Lead teams with 3-10 people
  • Responsible for the flow, quality and using defined work processes to accomplish tasks within tack time.
  • Review the quality of each unit within their operation to insure it meets Quality standards
  • Identify and lead your team in problem solving solutions and implement and maintain solutions within your area of responsibility.
  • Follow up and take action within your area of responsibility on all Safety, Quality and Productivity issues, and keep your Supervisor informed of your actions.
  • Cover short term absences.
  • Training of new team members and insuring that all team members are cross trained.
  • Lead by example with a positive attitude and move members of your team as needed to meet the Goals of your group to insure that a Quality product is being produced safely and productively.
  • Keep your team informed by communicating with the Shift Start up meeting daily to address Safety, Quality, productivity, daily schedule, manpower changes and answer any questions with your group.
  • Provide feedback to your supervisor on each member of your team concerning their performance, attendance, and behavioral issues throughout the year.
  • Involve and lead your team in Continuous Improvement with your area that is completed and sustained throughout the year.
  • Promote a good working relationship with support groups such as ME, Quality, Planning etc. on issues directly impacting their area/team.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to work in a team setting and demonstrate a positive work attitude.
  • Must be able to perform physical strength and endurance requirements of job.
  • Good verbal communication and good problem solving skills.
  • Detail oriented, organized, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
