Job Summary

The Custom Harvester Combine Support Team is comprised of an equipment fleet and technicians that travel from Texas to Montana during the wheat harvest, supporting GLEANER combine custom harvesters. The CHCS team functions as a mobile dealership; providing parts, and service in the field.

The CHCS Supervisor manages this team, traveling with the CHCS fleet, and is responsible foraccurate and prompt field service support.

Responsibilities and Job Functions

  • Coordinate location and movement of fleet equipment throughout the wheat harvest
  • Work directly with AGCO custom harvesters to document customer complaints, create work orders, and schedule/dispatch service teams for field repairs
  • Create invoices for customer pay repairs, and file claims for warrantable repairs
  • Maintain accurate and sufficient parts inventory for CHCS trailers
  • Communicate with AGCO Dealer Technical Service and Support team and engineering to report emerging issues
  • Oversee the monitoring and maintenance of our fleet. This includes scheduled maintenance, repairs, and tool inventory

ESSENTIAL SKILLS


Education

  • Degree in (Technology, Agricultural Sciences, Engineering, or related field); or equivalent experience

    Required Skills and Abilities
  • Experience with heavy equipment (farm or industrial), dealership dynamics, and direct customer interaction
  • Excellent technical skills including problem solving & troubleshooting.
  • Thoroughly familiar with applied hydraulics, engines, drivetrains, electrical systems, electronics, and air conditioning systems
  • GLEANER Combine experience is preferred
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Accomplished communication capabilities (spoken and written)
