Project Engineer

The engineering team at AGCO has an immediate opening for a Project Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and integrating mechanical systems for agricultural machinery, and will be part of a small, high-performing team. Along with owning the design of a project, the candidate will also be strongly encouraged to follow the application through real world situations to further industrialize the product to the market viable solution.

What You Will Do

• Participate in a fast-paced design and project team with the ability to work on multiple project simultaneously.
• Ability to draft engineering prints on newly designed parts, revised parts, and assemblies
• Organize and facilitate design reviews with local and global cross functional teams to ensure alignment.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve manufacturability of product designs.
• Collaborate with outside vendors to facilitate purchased parts and outside design collaboration.
• Capability to troubleshoot issues that arise in the field during testing and think out-side-the-box to implement creative decisions.
• Responsible for configuration and design variations of products.
• Hands on approach, design and fit-up of components as needed.

What You Will Bring

• BS in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering, or a related technical field required.
• 0-5 years design experience in design engineering, implementation, testing and validating of component/product designs is a strong plus.

A Plus If You Have

• 使用Creo，Excel，Outlook，PowerPoint和Word的熟练程度。
• Demonstrated strong design abilities, with hands on capabilities.
• Farming background or experience with agricultural and/or construction equipment, specifically hay equipment, is a strong plus.
• 很强的沟通能力to convey results, root cause analysis, processes/approaches to a variety of internal or external audiences.
• Experience with sheet metal design principles and application in CAD modeling is a strong plus
• Familiar with hydraulics , especially on mobile equipment, is a strong plus
• Familiar with power transfer design and application, e.g., belts, chains, gear trains, drives, etc.
• Familiar with bolted and welded joints as a part of a whole system
