Harvest Automation Team Lead

The Precision Ag and Digital team at AGCO has an immediate opening for a Harvest Automation Development Team Lead in our Hesston, Kansas office. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the definition, development, and integration of machine control and user interface software for Harvesting Automation, and must be able to operate with a high degree of freedom.

What You Will Do and Bring:

• Experience with machine control systems
  • A deep understanding of control theory and how to apply it to mobile machinery
  • Experience with farm machinery, specifically harvest equipment, is a strong plus
  • Experience with wireless communication

  • Deep understanding of robust and scalable software architectures for use in mobile machinery
  • Ability to create and adhere to software design and coding standards
  • Experience with model-based software design as well as C++ or similar languages

  • Proficient in mobile machinery communication protocols and standards, such as SAE J1939, ISO 11783, and BroadR-Reach

• User Interface Design
  • Lead the design of efficient, intuitive, and user-friendly graphical user interfaces for mobile machinery
  • Strong customer focus is a must
• Product support and training
  • Lead the team in providing prompt support for technical service, manufacturing, purchasing, or other internal groups
  • Lead the team in providing informative, relevant product training for internal technical service staff, service training, and other engineering teams including field test
• Leadership and Teamwork

  • Ability to collaboratively prioritize work to meet schedule demands
  • Ability and willingness to innovate given limited direction and contribute beyond your direct area of responsibility

  • 5+ years of experience with software design for mobile equipment
