Job Summary

AGCO is currently seeking a Global 3rdParty Purchasing Lead to join the North America Materials Management and Purchasing team in Duluth, GA, reporting to the Commodity Manager. The Global 3rd Party Purchasing Lead will oversee assigned 3rd Party spend. The position will be responsible for contributing to growth and profitability by optimizing sourcing strategies, building supplier relationships and promoting continuous improvement. The Global 3rd Party Purchasing Lead will provide support in the areas of cost management, product development, supplier management and contract development. This individual will also ensure timely supply of high quality products and services while focusing on cost reduction initiatives to reduce initial capital investments, life cycle and expense related costs.

Job Function and Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and execution of long-term supplier strategies, supplier cost modeling, supplier opportunity assessments, conduct supplier financial analysis, lead supplier negotiations, draft long-term contracts, conduct continuous supplier performance improvement, and maintain strong supplier relationship/development

• Negotiate the best-in-class price, payment terms, and delivery terms for purchased products in compliance with corporate objectives

•识别新的和选择来说e sources of supply as necessary to support new product development, cost reduction requirements, and supplier performance issues

• Evaluate medium to long-term supplier capabilities in an effort to optimize the commodity supply base in support of supplier reduction goals and objectives

• Maintain a solid working knowledge of essential commodity trends including: industry trends, cost drivers, global pricing, and technical/manufacturing processes

• Lead cross-functional teams to drive global supply chain enhancements

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business or related field

• 5+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement, category management experience

• Experience executing sourcing processes including due diligence, analysis, program development, negotiation/contracting and supplier management

• Results oriented, sense of urgency, strong work ethic and customer first mentality

• Ability to build and develop strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders as well as the ability to influence

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Key Performance Indicators

• Implement permanent product cost reduction for AGCO products

• Support growth of AGCO's Global 3rd Party products

Additional Requirements

• Minimal travel required
