Jr Accountant – Vendor Master and Payments Specialist

The AGCO Finance Division has an exciting opportunity for a Jr. Accountant to join its team in delivering extraordinary results at theBatavia, ILParts Distribution Center.The Batavia PDC is the master distribution center for North America operating around the clock to serve internal and external customers on a global scale. This is a role with growth potential and developmental opportunities.

The Vendor Master and Payments Specialist will lead the Vendor Master data function for Aftersales and Batavia A/P shared services. This role will also participate in payments processing and process improvement. The Batavia A/P team processes direct and indirect invoices and payments for the AfterSales organization, North America plants, and Home Office.

What you will do:

• Process inventory and non-inventory invoices into accounting system (Prophet 21)
• Run and complete payments for vendors
• Upload dealer related charges/credits into JD Edwards
• Prepare journal entries for month end close
• Responsible for analysis and reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts
• Performs various other accounting tasks and special projects as required
• Support other clerical functions as needed

What you will bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting
• 5-10 years’ experience in Accounts Payable or vendor maintenance

A plus if you have:

• Strong self-initiative, leadership, communication, interpersonal, strategic, planning and organizational skills
• ERP Vendor Master and Payments experience required ; SAP experience is a plus

• Must be self-sufficient and have the ability to think strategically, look forward, and plan tactically and logically
