Job Title: Assembler

JOB PURPOSE:

The Assembler is responsible for building all CUE tractors listed in AGCO’s product catalog. Each model tractor will be assembled in accordance with the highest Engineering, Quality, and Productivity standards as described in AGCO’s work instructions

JOB DUTIES:

Follow assembly directions from the Production Supervisor, Work Instructions, Engineering Drawings, Quality Documents and Verbal Instructions.

Performs mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic assembly tasks for each build.

Capable of moving completed product to the next work station for the continuation of the assembly process.

The ability to read spreadsheets, serial numbers, and part numbers to complete all required assemblies.

Responsible for following all safety rules and regulations and wears all required personal protective equipment.

Capable of inspecting finished assemblies or product to assure that the work meets all required company specifications.

Completes all work assignments within standard guidelines for quality and productivity.

Maintains a clean and neat environment for the assembly area, work stations, and tool boxes.

Completes all required inventory transactions in a timely manner.

Willingness to learn 5S, Lean, and metrics.

Must possess basic math skills, understanding decimals and fractions for measurement.

Must have basic computer skills.

Must have basic mechanical knowledge and ability to use basic hand tool and power tools such as sockets, wrenches, screw drivers, impact guns, torque wrenches, etc.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

5 years of assembly experience

5 years of working with hydraulics

5 years working with various hand tools and impacts

5 years of working on electrical systems

Exposure to a production based environment

Understanding of quality metrics

Must be able to read and write

PC literate

Knowledge of Lean and 5S is highly desirable

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Some technical training a plus
